Museums for All is a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM). More than 480 museums (including art museums, children’s museums, science centers, botanical gardens, zoos, history museums, and more) across the country offer a reduced admission fee of $3 or less with the presentation of the SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card.

Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can enter the Garden with a reduced admission fee of $3 per person, up to four people, with the presentation of a SNAP EBT or WIC card.

No registration needed—just bring your SNAP EBT or WIC card and a valid photo ID when you arrive to the admissions kiosk. Come back as often as you like and keep the curiosity growing.

The Community Ticket Program is a program that provides complimentary tickets to nonprofit and community-based organizations. The program is designed to provide access to the Garden and its annual exhibitions.

Yes! The Garden is designed to welcome guests of varying mobility levels. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are encouraged, and accessible pathways wind throughout the Garden.

Yes. A limited number of wheelchairs are available at the Guest Services Kiosk on a first-come, first-served basis.

Of course. Service animals are welcome in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Texas law.

Think of Nature Navigator as your ride—and your welcome mat—to the Garden. This program removes one of the biggest barriers to access: transportation. By offering free transportation and engaging Garden experiences, we’re opening our gates wider to communities across San Antonio and beyond.

Nature Navigator prioritizes community partner groups in Bexar County and surrounding counties, and all ages are welcome. If you’re part of a community group, we’d love to grow with you.

It’s easy! Simply fill out our scheduling form. Once submitted, keep an eye on your inbox—we’ll send a confirmation email to officially book your visit.

Absolutely. Our shuttle is designed with accessibility in mind and includes:

• A wheelchair lift
• Space for up to 2 wheelchair users
• Secure storage for mobility devices

The shuttle can carry up to 24 passengers, or 20 passengers and 2 wheelchairs comfortably.

Most Garden visits last 2–4 hours. To keep things relaxed and enjoyable, we recommend planning for 3–5 hours total, including transportation time.

Outside food and drinks aren’t typically encouraged, but we make accommodations for community access groups who schedule visits through the Nature Navigator program. Just let us know ahead of time.

Once your visit is confirmed, we recommend checking out our Garden Map to get familiar with the grounds.
Day-of tips:

• Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
• Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and bug repellent
• Feel free to bring an umbrella and refillable water bottle

Water fountains are located throughout the Garden, and bottled water is available at the Garden Gift Shop.
